Fire Safety

FIRE SAFETY INFORMATION

Gathering around a fire and toasting marshamallows under a blanket of stars is one of the most quintessential camping experiences.

We have a large commumual fire pit with log seating for guests in tents. If you are staying in a Campervan or Glamping Pod you can hire a small private fire pit from us (or bring your own) to use at your pod/pitch

We also have logs and fire bundles available to buy, you can see our prices HERE.

Fire Safety Rules

  • Fire pits are not permitted at tent pitches. Instead campers should use the communal fire pit beyond pitch 12.
  • Fires should NEVER be left unattended.
  • Children should always be supervised and never left alone around campfires.
  • Dogs should be kept on a leash safely away from any fires.
  • Camp fires should be FULLY extinguished using water after use.

Emergency Fire Boards & Muster Point

We have 4 Emergency Fire Boards across the campsite; 3 at the Pods/Tent pitches & 1 at the Campervan pitches.

Each Fire Point has a rotary alarm and 2 water fire extinguishers (suitable for use on paper, wood, textile & fabric) and details of evacuation routes to the muster point.

In Event of Fire

In the event of a fire please warn other guests by spinning the rotary alarm on one of the Emergency Fire Points and then CALL 999.

Water Fire Extinguishers (suitable for use on paper, wood & fabric) are found in the boxes on the Fire Boards. You will also find a C02 Fire Extinguisher (suitable for flammable liquids & electrical hazards) in each Glamping Eco-Pod. To use:

·     Pull the safety tag to break the seal

·     Remove the safety pin

·     Point hose at base of fire then squeeze handle to use.

You should then make your way to the muster point by referring to the evacuation route on your nearest Emergency Fire Board.
